Fayette County SART Training
A Coordinated Community Response to Sexual Assault

Registration is Required

The purpose of this training is to begin the process of cross training first responders who encounter victims of sexual assault. Participants will understand the impact sexual assault has on victims and the unique roles and responsibilities of first responders including advocates, law enforcement, medical forensic examiners, and prosecutors.  This training will provide insight into the importance of a medical forensic examination in sexual assault cases as well as the unique aspects of drug-facilitated sexual assaults.

Our goal is to bring community professionals together through Sexual Assault Response Teams (SARTs) to create a more unified, victim-centered response to sexual violence.  Continuing education credits are available for Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Counselors, Law Enforcement, Emergency Medical Services, Domestic Violence Advocates, and Attorneys.  We encourage all first responders to victims of sexual assault/abuse to attend.
