The Rape and Domestic Violence Information Center (RDVIC) began in 1973 as a group of volunteers working to educate and intervene in issues concerning sexual assault. Since that time the services have developed to include any victim of sexual assault or domestic violence. These services include a crisis hotline, group and individual counseling, advocacy, support services, community education, and emergency shelter. RDVIC serves victims in three counties through its shelter in Morgantown and Outreach Offices in Taylor and Preston counties. Volunteers are utilized in a variety of capacities and are encouraged to contact the office in their area.
